Nabaco announced a significant achievement in its commitment to support Washington pear and apple growers in their quest for sustainability and environmental responsibility. The company’s NatuWrap products, Pear Preserve + Protect and Apple Seal, have recently been awarded organic certifications by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
“We are thrilled to receive organic certification for our NatuWrap products from the WSDA” said Gary Beall, co-founder and CTO of Nabaco. “NatuWrap natural and organic barrier technology can help farmers protect and naturally preserve their organic fruit, returning more to their bottom line.”
In addition to US OMRI organic certifications, Nabaco provides market and category relevant certifications that align with the highest industry standards. By meeting the rigorous standards set forth by the WSDA, Nabaco continues to demonstrate its unwavering support for the region’s environmental stewardship and profitable transition to more organic fruit production.
As a produce industry veteran Nabaco CEO, Jamie Strachan, remains focused on the best approach for each category and territory in the fresh produce industry. “We are providing a much-needed post-harvest organic solution in pears and apples, where very few exist today… and we are following local guidelines to ensure we are credible with local farmers.”
The company looks forward to expanding its organic product offerings and making further strides in promoting a more sustainable future.
