THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PLATFORM

Our team combines scientific expertise with practical experience in developing, testing and bringing technologies into real-world environments.

Jamie Strachan

CEO

Serial Entrepreneur | Food Technology, Packaging Innovation & Supply-Chain Data Jamie Strachan has spent more than 20 years bringing technology and innovation to the food industry. He brought leading supply-chain data and traceability solutions to market, serving thousands of packhouses, fresh-food shippers and deli operators.

As CEO of Green Giant™ Fresh, Jamie helped transform the produce department by commercializing advanced nano-encapsulation technology and scaling the production of riced and spiralized vegetables—turning commodity categories into high-growth branded platforms. He received the Dow Packaging Innovation Award for his work with Clear Lam and the Green Giant™ brand.

As founding Vice Chair and later Chairman of the California Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement (LGMA), Jamie helped establish a food-safety program that served as a model for the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

Today, Jamie leads Nabaco’s development and commercialization of food and packaging technologies while advising leading food companies.

Gary Beall

Founder & CTO

Founding Scientist of Polymer-Clay Nanocomposites | Self-Assembly Pioneer Dr. Gary Beall helped establish the field of polymer-clay nanocomposites, a technology now used worldwide in packaging, automotive and aerospace materials. Over nearly five decades, he has connected fundamental materials science with commercial applications, helping turn discoveries at the nanoscale into practical industrial technologies.

His career spans Oak Ridge, Nanocor—where his work helped lay the foundation of the commercial nanoclay industry—and Texas State University, where he served as a Regents’ Professor. He holds more than 50 patents, co-authored foundational texts in polymer-clay nanocomposites and received the American Chemical Society’s National Award for Cooperative Research.

As Nabaco’s founding scientist and CTO, Gary guides the science behind the company’s natural materials platform. His expertise in nanoscale self-assembly enables Nabaco to engineer natural materials into high-performance systems for food, packaging and emerging industrial applications.
